God knows. I found them both completely unbearable.

It was me that deleted your provocative posts. I didn't bother telling you because, frankly, I didn't expect a mature and considered response from you. We don't need any more online arguments breaking out over some of your recent ill considered posts, so I took the action that I deemed appropriate and I make no apologies for it and I don't consider it "censorship", just keeping the peace. If you just think about how your posts could be interpreted before you type them, then, perhaps any misunderstandings could be avoided?

Personally, i'd probably adopt a slightly more concilitory line (then again, im sober as possible at the moment - if pissed, i'd say different - probably "hang the cunt") He's an arrogant fuck (though I don't think he realises he is. I know i'm an arrogant bastard, and act accordingly lol )

If you've decided to boycott CiA events like Nige has, then fine, that's your perogative but please, don't bring your baggage onto this forum. You're the one who insists on perpetuating the CiA/pbi "rift" - a rift that doesn't exist as far as we're concerned.

You shouldn't really have deleted Gadge's posts, taking personal exception isn't a good enough reason and in any case it just plays into Gadge's hands.
Feck knows I'd like to delete ALL Gadge's posts but meh, what's the point beyond personal satisfaction?
We need to box clever here - by manipulating Gadge over the 'Scottish' affair he was put in the position where he had to put up a public apology or lose his job. Its perfectly possible to beat him with words if we try hard enough!

I've just pm'ed Gadge, using Kermits' text, rather than mine.

I apologise if I've put CiA in a bad light, or a perceived one but I stand by my convicion that gadge mostly does more harm than good with his recent attitude in his posts. I deleted his frankly irrelevant and argumentative posts to avoid any open arguments flaring up, which would have made all involved look like tools.

Meh, its not a problem. Nearly every 'crisis' CiA has had, right from the beginning, has been centred around Gadge in some way or another. The post in our private section are a testimony to that! He is both an asset and a liability. On the whole it is probably better to work around or even with him than create an enemy. The bloke has serious issues, no doubt about it - I suspect it stems from rejection by his mother and a subsequent longing for peer approval and constant attention seeking. And I'm sure Guy would like to get him on his couch.

Anyhoo, vent spleen here by all means but lets try and keep Gadge baiting to a minimum on the open forum. As I say, its easy enough to make him make himself look a tit without going all 'ASSCOCK'

Dave my posts were not contentious at all, the first one supported a Gunman statement but also applauded CIA on the all feldgrau turn out at Arial and Die Glocke, i have no idea what was contentious about that?

The second one was a discourse between Steve and I that Steve has said he has no issue with.

I'm not incredibly happy that my posts have been removed without reason or rhyme and that no apology is forthcoming, if not form Pete than from CIA itself.

If i'd breached a forum rule then i'd understand.

I'm not 'boycotting cia events' I just dont have the time or money to do Borzyn tbh, I've said nothing negative about it on CIA and in fact have tried to contribute to threads about getting russian kit right.

Just got off the phone with Gadge. Hopefully, it's all sorted. He admitted that he should be more selective with what he posts and how it's perceived and I agreed that I could be a teeny bit more tactful.

He was very apologetic about it all. I think "calling" him on his actions may even have a positive effect. Only time will tell.

Well, it's backfired on me really. I've ended up looking like a conciliator, instead of a shit stirrer, which wasn't my intention at all!

All joking aside, I think it may have done some good to have got it all out in the open for discussion, a clearing of the air can be of use I guess.
